This role will be part of the India Financial and Statutory (F&S) accounting team based in Navi Mumbai. India F&S team is mainly responsible for the accounting and statutory reporting for the India subcontinent entities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the following accounting activities are conducted timely, accurately, & to Dow’s standard:

- Day to day accounting
- Monthly/quarterly/annual closing activities
- Support in preparation of financial statements as per Indian GAAP including statutory audit schedules.
- Support in special projects such as mergers / demergers etc.
- Support internal audits, tax, transfer pricing audits
- Support in data preparation for tax assessments
- For administrative and data coordination work, requires full proficiency gained through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform a range of tasks under limited supervision
- Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions. Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data. Likely to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- For analytical, scientific method, or operational tasks, requires job-related training and working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical scientific or operational processes under a moderate degree of supervision. Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise. Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods

**Education**:

- Bachelor of Commerce
- Chartered Accountant

**Experience**:

- Financial Accounting following IGAAP/USGAAP (1-2 years)
- Western multinational or Big 4 experience would be an added advantage

**Competencies**:

- Thorough knowledge of Ind AS and US GAAP
- Process-oriented mindset.
- Detailed and analytical thinker.
- Working knowledge of SAP (FICO module)
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
