Job Details

Primary responsibilities (not limited to)
- Design, implement, and document efficient and scalable database solutions to meet business needs
- Develop data models, schemas, and database designs that optimize performance and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Evaluate and recommend database technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance performance, reliability, and security
- Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization to ensure optimal system performance
- Implement and maintain data security and compliance measures to protect sensitive information
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in database management and recommend innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- At least 5 years’ experience as a Database Architect or a similar role, with a deep understanding of database design, development, and administration
- Expertise in relational database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Proficiency in database design and modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, Visio)
- Experience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL)
- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent collaboration skills with fluent English written and communication skills

Preferred:

- Financial Services industry experience

Working days/hours: Monday to Friday; Fully working from the office - Indiqube Alpine (Transit) 7th Floor, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Guindy Area - adjacent to Ekattuthangal Metro Station.
