Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Architect with a strong development background who can design, optimize, and migrate enterprise-scale databases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Oracle or MS SQL, knowledge of PostgreSQL (PGS), and proven experience in cloud migration across AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing database architectures.
  • Provide hands-on expertise in Oracle or MS SQL along with PostgreSQL.
  • Lead cloud migration projects (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including assessment, planning, and execution.
  • Collaborate with application developers to optimize database structures and queries.
  • Define database best practices, standards, and governance models.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning of databases.
  • Support modernization initiatives by transitioning legacy databases to cloud-native platforms.
  • Work closely with DevOps and cloud teams to integrate database solutions in CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong development background with deep knowledge of database programming and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server (at least one is mandatory).
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL (PGS).
  • Proven experience in cloud database migration (AWS RDS/ Aurora, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL, etc.).
  • Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
