Quality Controller

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Quality Monitoring**:
- Oversee daily quality control checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform sensory analysis, including taste, texture, color, and aroma evaluation for products like pickles, jams, and chikki.
- **Laboratory Testing**:
- Conduct and supervise laboratory tests for microbiological, chemical, and physical parameters of food products.
- Analyze the nutritional content of products in line with industry standards.
- Ensure that preservatives, additives, and other ingredients are used within permissible limits.
- **Process Control & Improvement**:
- Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
- Investigate and troubleshoot any quality-related issues that arise in production or packaging.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality control tests, audits, and inspections.
- Prepare and submit regular quality reports, summarizing findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure that all quality control documentation complies with internal and external audits.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards like FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), ISO 22000, and other relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure that proper traceability of products is maintained.
- **Supplier and Raw Material Evaluation**:
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of raw materials received from suppliers.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of ingredients and packaging materials meet specifications.
- **Training & Team Coordination**:
- Train and educate production and processing teams on quality standards, food safety practices, and corrective action procedures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, packaging) to ensure a quality-driven approach to manufacturing.
- **Product Innovation Support**:
- Assist in the development and testing of new food products or variations of existing products.
- Support product formulation changes to meet consumer preferences and regulatory guidelines.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: BTech / MTech in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-5 years of experience in food manufacturing and quality control, preferably in pickles, jams, groundnut chikki, or similar food products.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Knowledge of food processing techniques, packaging standards, and food safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and food testing instruments.
- Strong understanding of food quality standards, regulations, and certifications (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO).
- **Soft Skills**:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience in managing or implementing food safety audits.
- Familiarity with quality management software.
- Hands-on experience in pickling, jam preparation, or confectionery production.
**Work Environment**:
- The position requires working in a production facility, so adherence to hygiene and safety standards is essential.
- Some hands-on tasks in the laboratory or production area may be required.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
