Infection Control Nurse

**Job Summary**:
The Infection Control Nurse (ICN) is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating infection prevention and control activities across the hospital. The role ensures compliance with hospital infection control policies, NABH standards, and national/international guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Implement and monitor hospital infection control and prevention policies.
- Conduct regular hospital rounds for infection surveillance and compliance monitoring.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain infection data; prepare infection control reports.
- Identify and report hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and assist in root cause analysis.
- Participate in outbreak investigation and containment measures.
- Conduct audits on hand hygiene, biomedical waste management, disinfection, and sterilization practices.
- Train and educate hospital staff on infection prevention and control (IPC) practices.
- Coordinate with microbiology department for culture reports and antibiogram data.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, state, and national infection control guidelines.
- Assist in preparing infection control committee meeting agendas, minutes, and reports.
- Support quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- B.Sc. / GNM Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Certification / Training in Infection Control preferred.
- Minimum 1-5 years of clinical nursing experience; prior infection control experience desirable.
**Skills & Competencies**:
- Sound knowledge of infection control principles and NABH standards.
- Strong observation and auditing skills.
- Excellent communication and teaching ability.
- Proficiency in data collection, reporting, and analysis.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments effectively.
- High level of responsibility and attention to detail.
**Work Schedule**:
- Full-time position; rotational duties as per hospital policy.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
