
Infection Control Nurse

Key Responsibilities:
- **Infection Control Program Management**:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor infection prevention and control activities in the facility, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update infection control protocols.
- **Surveillance and Data Collection**:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret infection surveillance data.
- Identify trends, outbreaks, and risk factors and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate infection control records and ensure proper documentation.
- **Education and Training**:
- Provide ongoing infection control education and training for staff, including nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff.
- Conduct periodic in-services to reinforce infection prevention measures.
- Develop educational materials and presentations on infection control topics.
- **Outbreak Investigation and Response**:
- Lead investigations of any suspected outbreaks of infectious diseases.
- Implement and coordinate outbreak control measures in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure proper reporting and documentation of outbreaks as required by regulatory agencies.
- **Compliance and Auditing**:
- Perform regular audits to assess adherence to infection control policies and procedures.
- Prepare for regulatory inspections and ensure readiness for audits by local, state, and federal agencies.
- Maintain infection control logs and ensure documentation meets legal and regulatory standards.
- **Risk Assessment and Quality Improvement**:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify infection risks and suggest improvements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing infection control practices and patient safety.
- Analyze infection-related data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Serve as a consultant and resource for infection control issues within the facility.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective infection prevention measures are in place.
- Participate in clinical committees and infection control meetings.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
