**Job Summary**

A Fashion Merchandiser is responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing product assortments that align with market trends and customer preferences. They collaborate with design, buying, and sales teams to ensure the right products are available at the right time and at the right price, maximizing profitability while maintaining brand identity.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Trend Analysis and Forecasting**
- Research and analyze fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market data to predict upcoming demands.
- Attend trade shows, fashion events, and supplier meetings to stay updated on industry developments.

**Product Selection and Development**
- Collaborate with designers and buyers to curate or develop collections that reflect the brand's vision and market demand.
- Evaluate samples and prototypes to ensure quality, style, and fit meet brand standards.

**Merchandising Strategy**
- Plan and execute seasonal merchandising strategies, including product placement, pricing, and promotions.
- Determine optimal inventory levels and allocation across retail channels.

**Vendor Management**
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers.

**Sales and Performance Analysis**
- Monitor sales data to assess the performance of products and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on sales trends, inventory turnover, and customer feedback.

**Visual Merchandising**
- Work closely with visual merchandising teams to ensure cohesive presentation of products in stores and online.
- Develop and oversee promotional campaigns to boost visibility and sales.

**Budget and Financial Oversight**
- Manage budgets for purchasing and merchandising activities.
- Ensure profitability by optimizing product costs, pricing strategies, and markdowns.

**Key Skills and Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-5 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or retail management (preferably in the fashion industry).
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics, and production processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Proficient in inventory management systems and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP, or merchandising software).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for fashion.

- Sales growth and revenue targets.
- Inventory turnover rates and stock levels.
- Success of product launches and campaigns.
- Vendor satisfaction and cost optimization.
