**About the Role**:
As a Buying Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing and driving the product selection, buying strategy, and sales performance for fashion. Your expertise will bridge market trends with consumer demand, ensuring a curated selection that maximizes revenue and enhances brand presence on digital retail platforms like Ajio, Myntra, and Nykaa.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Product Selection & Buying**:

- Collaborate with designers, suppliers, and vendors to select a high-quality, trend-forward product range in apparel, accessories, and beauty.
- Manage end-to-end buying processes, from market research and trend forecasting to final product selection and pricing strategies.
- **Vendor Management**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with national and international vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to ensure competitive offerings.
- **Inventory Planning & Management**:

- Work closely with the inventory team to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Implement strategies to minimize overstock, understock, and markdowns.
- **Data-Driven Strategy**:

- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and fashion trends to inform buying decisions and seasonal collections.
- Use insights from platforms like Ajio, Myntra, and Nykaa to align product selection with market demand.
- **Collaboration with E-Commerce Teams**:

- Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure product listings are optimized and promoted effectively.
- Work with visual merchandising and content teams to ensure product launches are seamless across platforms.
- **Pricing & Promotion**:

- Develop pricing strategies based on market research and competitive analysis.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to execute promotional activities for key products and collections.
- **Trend Analysis & Forecasting**:

- Stay updated on global and domestic fashion/beauty trends.
- Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and vendor meetings to gain insights into emerging trends.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Educational Background**:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) or Master of Fashion Management (MFM) from NIFT or an equivalent institution.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in buying/merchandising with well-known e-commerce platforms (Ajio, Myntra, Nykaa preferred).
