Intern - Company Strategies (Upstream Solutions)

**The Team**:
The team undertakes research and writes reports pertaining to oil and gas company strategies and competitive positioning in their core upstream business, and expansion into researching low-carbon strategies.
**The Impact**:
As part of the team, you will be delivering high-quality insights into the upstream and low-carbon strategies of the world’s largest international oil companies (IOCs) and national oil companies (NOCs). Our coverage universe includes sixty of the largest international oil and gas companies, and thirty-two of the world’s largest National Oil Companies (NOCs). Your research provides valuable insights to customers who are either oil and gas companies or seeking impactful, action-oriented research on the sector.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough data gathering from various financial databases and market research sources.
- Assist in the analysis of financial statements and performance metrics to support senior analysts in their evaluations.
- Contribute to company strategic valuation efforts by providing relevant data and insights.
- Perform peer group analysis to benchmark company performance against competitors.
- Support general tasks and administrative duties within the equity research team as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations.

**What we're looking for**:

- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, International Relations, or a related field, currently in their penultimate year ( graduating in 2026 ).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural, multi-continent team.
- Quick thinker and solutions-oriented
