PURPOSE OF JOB
As a Network Engineer, the responsibility would be to design, implement, and maintain the BGP, OSPF, and basic MPLS networks. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the network infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. -Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in network engineering roles. -Strong understanding of BGP and OSPF routing protocols, including route redistribution, route filtering, and path selection. -Experience with configuring and troubleshooting MPLS networks, including LDP and MPLS VPNs. -Familiarity with network security best practices and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs. -Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Wireshark, SNMP, and NetFlow. -Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. -Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, JNCIP, etc.) are a plus.
KEY ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES
➔ Design, implement, and maintain BGP routing policies to ensure optimal traffic routing and network performance. ➔ Configure and troubleshoot OSPF routing protocols across our network infrastructure. ➔ Implement and manage basic MPLS services, including LDP and MPLS VPNs. ➔ Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliability. ➔ Collaborate with other teams to implement network security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards. ➔ Participate in network capacity planning and expansion projects to support business growth. ➔ Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
