The Associate Proposal Writer will be responsible for understanding the proposal strategy and developing a solutions-based proposal in response to client/prospect needs.

Our Associate Proposal Writer’s key responsibilities are:

- Take a lead role on smaller scale RFPs/RFQs/RFIs procurement events and/or support Proposal Writers and Senior Proposal Writers to prepare proposals and RFPs/RFQs/RFIs responses for key strategic opportunities. Both of these tasks will be achieved through the following:

- Analyzes and understand the requirements of RFPs/RFQs/RFIs procurement events, and plan and craft responses that adequately meet and address the stated requirements
- Population of standardized proposal language into client proposals and RFPs/RFQs/RFIs responses using our central proposal content repository (RFPIO)
- Develops comprehensive responses that put forward the company and our proposed solutions in the most compelling manner possible.
- Writes and edits proposals for readability, consistency, and appropriate tone
- Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts and corporate personnel, developing and writing technical and management content for responses that are compliant with the proposal requests
- Analyzes data to ensure the relevancy of past performance materials to current requirements
- Coordinate all information in the format requested in RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and according to organizational standards
- Edits and proofreads proposals and other related materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, readability, and consistency with company guidelines and standards
- Collaborates with bid teams to develop proposal strategy, identify potential areas of improvement, solutions, and themes that support the winning strategy
- Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval
- Maintain files of all RFPs/RFQs/RFIs' and completed proposals and presentations
- Support the submission and updating of new proposal language to our central proposal content repository
- Performs other duties as assigned by management

Succeeding as an Associate Proposal Writer will require the following core qualifications and skills:

- Completion of Bachelor's Degree/College diploma in a related field and 1+ years of experience in writing proposals in response to business RFPs/RFQs/RFIs'
- Technical writing, copywriting, and editing experience in all professional and business writing
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Strong organizational skills that demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work collegially under strict deadline pressure and handle multiple work assignments
- Some broader communications experience/knowledge beyond proposal writing is desired to ensure good collaboration and coordination with web communications, public relations, graphic design, and marketing teams
- Ability to learn quickly demonstrates critical thinking and makes situation-appropriate decisions using sound judgment
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in a high-paced, large company environment
