**Position Title**: Purchase Officer

**Job Summary**:
As a Purchase Officer, you will be responsible for procuring goods and services necessary for the operation of the organization. Your primary duties will include sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining accurate records of purchases.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Sourcing Suppliers**: Identify potential suppliers for goods and services required by the organization.
- **Negotiation**: Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to obtain the best possible deal.
- **Purchase Orders**: Prepare and process purchase orders to secure timely delivery of goods.
- **Supplier Relationship Management**: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and quality service.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure adequate stock levels.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure that purchased goods meet quality standards and specifications.
- **Cost Management**: Analyze costs and recommend cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of purchases, including contracts, agreements, and invoices.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with organizational purchasing policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
- **Reporting**: Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, including expenditures, savings, and supplier performance.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Officer or similar role for minimum 5 years.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of purchasing best practices and supply chain management principles.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
