**Job Summary**
The Purchase & PPC Officer will be responsible for managing procurement activities, coordinating with suppliers, planning production schedules, and ensuring material availability for uninterrupted operations. The role requires strong vendor management skills, production planning knowledge, and a commitment to cost optimization without compromising on quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Purchase Responsibilities**:
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for raw materials, machinery parts, and consumables.
Issue purchase orders (POs) and follow up for timely delivery.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain approved vendor lists.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
Manage purchase budgets and maintain cost control.
**PPC Responsibilities**:
Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in coordination with the production team.
Track production progress and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
Maintain material requirement planning (MRP) based on sales forecasts and inventory levels.
Coordinate with stores, production, and quality control departments.
Analyze production bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.
**Required Skills & Competencies**
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems
Excellent analytical and planning abilities.
Knowledge of inventory management and lean manufacturing principles.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
**Educational & Professional Requirements**
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in Purchase & PPC roles (preferably in manufacturing or engineering sector).
Certification in Supply Chain Management or Production Planning is an added advantage.
