**Description**

Key Responsibilities:
**Patient Registration and Reception**:

- Greet and assist patients upon arrival.
- Register new patients and update existing patient records in the hospital management system.
- Verify patient details such as insurance information and contact details.

**Appointment Scheduling**:

- Schedule patient appointments with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
- Manage appointment calendars and coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability.
- Handle appointment rescheduling and cancellations.

**Patient Coordination and Assistance**:

- Provide patients with information about hospital services, departments, and procedures.
- Guide patients to the appropriate departments or waiting areas.
- Answer patient inquiries and address any concerns they may have.

**Billing and Payment Processing**:

- Assist with billing and invoicing for outpatient services.
- Process payments and issue receipts for services rendered.
- Handle insurance claims and coordinate with insurance companies.

**Medical Records Management**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for outpatient visits.
- Ensure that patient files are organized, secure, and easily accessible to medical staff.
- Assist in the preparation and retrieval of medical documents as needed.

**Communication and Coordination**:

- Serve as a point of contact between patients, doctors, and other hospital departments.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy for patient care.
- Communicate test results, reports, and follow-up instructions to patients.

**Data Entry and Reporting**:

- Input and update patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Generate and distribute reports related to outpatient services, such as daily patient flow or appointment summaries.

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, confidentiality regulations, and healthcare standards.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including infection control measures.

**Administrative Support**:

- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and photocopying.
- Support the hospital's administrative team with tasks as needed.
