The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and safety across all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms and areas, training employees, and ensuring that all cleaning procedures adhere to hotel or facility standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supervision of Staff**:
- Lead, train, and schedule housekeeping team members.
- Ensure staff adhere to cleaning procedures, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback or disciplinary action when necessary.
- **Quality Control & Inspections**:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness.
- Address and resolve guest complaints related to housekeeping.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly used and maintained.
- **Inventory & Supplies**:
- Monitor housekeeping supplies and equipment; coordinate with procurement for orders.
- Ensure proper storage and usage of cleaning products and chemicals.
- **Compliance & Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Train staff in the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and chemical handling.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain housekeeping records and reports.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations (e.g., maintenance for repairs, front office for guest requests).
- **Guest Interaction**:
- Assist with guest inquiries, requests, and special accommodations related to room cleanliness.
- Ensure prompt and efficient service to meet guest expectations.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or housekeeping is a plus.
- **Experience**: 2-4 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- **Skills**:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- **Other**: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ooty, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
