**Job Description for Commerce Professional Course Faculty**

Position Title: Faculty - Commerce Professional Course

Department: Commerce

Location: Chennai

Position Type: Full-time / Part-time

Role Overview:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Teaching and Course Delivery:
Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials.

Curriculum Development:
Assist in the development and review of the syllabus, ensuring that course material aligns with the latest industry standards and academic frameworks.

Prepare and update teaching materials, including presentations, handouts, assignments, and case studies.

Student Mentorship and Guidance:
Provide academic support and guidance to students through office hours, one-on-one sessions, and group discussions.

Mentor students for professional exams, internships, and career opportunities.

Offer constructive feedback on assessments and projects to help students improve their skills.

Assessment and Evaluation:
Design, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, exams, and practical assessments.

Evaluate student performance and provide timely and meaningful feedback.

Ensure that assessments are aligned with the learning objectives and educational standards.

Research and Professional Development:
Engage in academic research and stay updated with the latest trends in the commerce and business fields.

Departmental Contribution:
Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure cohesive course offerings.

Participate in departmental meetings, faculty reviews, and accreditation processes.

Assist in organizing co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as guest lectures, industry visits, and workshops.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
Educational Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Commerce (M.Com) or a related field.

Professional qualification(s) such as CA, ACCA,CMA, CS, CFA, or equivalent is preferred.(Part qualified can also apply)

**Experience**:
0-3 years of experience teaching commerce-related professional courses.

Familiarity with the curriculum and examination patterns of professional courses like CA,ACCA,CMA, CS, and CFA.

Experience in mentoring students for professional exams.

**Skills and Competencies**:
Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.

Knowledge of modern teaching tools, including online teaching platforms.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain positive relationships with students and faculty.

**Working Conditions**:
Full-time/part-time availability.

Flexible work hours, with the possibility of evening and weekend sessions depending on course schedules.

Occasional travel for professional development, conferences, and industry interactions.
