_**Answers incoming calls.**_
- _**Directs call to guest rooms, staff, or departments through the switchboard or PBX system.**_
- _**Places outgoing calls.**_
- _**Receives guest messages and deliver the same to the guest.**_
- _**Logs all **_**wake-up**_ **call requests and performs wake-up call services.**_
- _**Provides information about hotel services to guests.**_
- _**Understand the telephone operator board or PBX switchboard operations.**_
- _**Provides paging services for hotel guests and employees.**_
- _**Knows what action to take when an emergency call is required.**_
- _**Monitors automated systems including **_**fire**_ **alarms and telephone equipment when engineering and maintenance department is closed.**_
- _**Assists in reporting telephone equipment or service complaints and problems.**_
- _**Following **_**telephone etiquette**_ **( Must read).**_
- _**Trains or assists wit training new telephone operators in performance of job duties.**_
- _**To be fully aware of and adhere of health and **_**safety**_**, fire and bomb threat procedures.**_
- _**Multitasking abilities will always come in handy, because a switchboard operator may be asked to do other jobs as well.**_
- _**Must be polite and courteous while answering the phone.**_
- _**Open and close telephone functionality on the hotel **_**front office**_ **software.**_
- _**Keep records of calls placed and received by all departments and recording the call **_**charges**_**.**_
- _**Setup **_**conference calls**_ **in different locations and time zones.**_
- _**Update directory information on the front office software.**_
- _**Provide relay service for hearing-impaired guests.**_
- _**Provides a paging service for hotel guests and employees. Process guest wake-up calls.**_

**Salary**: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
