**Job Purpose**:
To build partnerships and grow enterprises, institutions and ecosystems that will help under-served people and businesses in India to get access to reliable, clean energy sources at scale. To learn lessons from the experience of these organisations and share the learnings with partners to improve industry understanding and effectiveness.

**Responsible for**:
Day to day responsibilities include engagement meetings with partners to actively track progress, investor engagement, and communication with strategic partners on learnings, challenges and new opportunities and updating SF systems to track portfolio progress and share learnings across the team.
- Provide business advice and mentoring support towards the effective management and scale-up of a portfolio of SF partners, working closely with partners and growing their businesses to achieve defined developmental and financial milestones and KPIs
- Responsibility for the management of a portfolio of grants, guarantees, other investments and contracts, ensuring provision of value-added advice and monitoring performance against agreed milestones and KPIs
- Identify market failures and opportunities for partnerships or business models where clean energy solutions can contribute to increasing incomes of customers earning below living income
- Landscaping the market and assessing different projects and companies to help identify compelling businesses models to back.
- Involvement in all aspects of due diligence on new partnerships or enterprise investments (customer thesis, competitive landscaping, business model assessment, and proposal writing).

Build and support network with external organizations such as investors, enterprises, donors and corporates with aligned mission.

**Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
**Skills & Experience**
- Minimum of 7 years of experience of working in an entrepreneurial or enterprise environment evaluating impactful solutions, ideally serving customers (specifically smallholder farmers) earning below living income in rural India
- A track record of providing venture building support leading to businesses operating at scale
- Experience of leveraging venture capital, commercial or social investment funding into enterprise solutions
- A good understanding of business disciplines in marketing, finance, business development and related fields and how these deliver value
- Evidence of managing stakeholder relationships and multi-stakeholder partnerships
- A proven and demonstrated interest, supported by practical experience, of sustainable development/ social investment
- Highly motivated and results orientated
- A creative problem-solving mindset towards unstructured challenges
- Great communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
