
Payroll Executive

The Payroll Executive is responsible for managing and processing payroll activities within an organization. This position ensures accurate and timely payment of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions, while adhering to applicable laws and regulations. The Payroll Executive works closely with the HR department, finance team, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
1. Payroll Processing:
- Collect and verify timekeeping records, including hours worked, overtime, and leave. Calculate and process employee salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other payments accurately and on time. Review and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with employment laws and regulations. Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
2. Benefits and Deductions:
- Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Calculate and deduct employee contributions for benefits, taxes, and other deductions. Process and reconcile payroll-related taxes, including income tax, social security, and other statutory deductions. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
3. Payroll Administration:
- Manage payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide prompt and accurate responses. Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in employment status. Generate and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders.
4. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements related to payroll. Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to government agencies as required. Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll processes and records. Keep abreast of changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and labor laws.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
