- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide information about the hospital's services, facilities, and policies.
- Direct patients to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- **Appointment Scheduling**:
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient scheduling of appointments.
- Update and maintain the appointment calendar.
- **Communication Handling**:
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls.
- Transfer calls to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Take and relay messages accurately.
- **Registration and Check-In**:
- Collect and verify patient information during the registration process.
- Ensure all necessary forms are completed accurately.
- Issue and explain patient identification cards.
- **Insurance Verification**:
- Verify patient insurance information.
- Assist patients with insurance-related queries.
- Coordinate with the billing department for insurance processing.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, faxing, and filing.
- Maintain and update patient records.
- Assist with billing and payment processing when necessary.
- **Conflict Resolution**:
- Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints.
- Escalate issues to the appropriate department or supervisor when necessary.
- **Security and Compliance**:
- Monitor and ensure the security of the front desk area.
- Adhere to confidentiality and privacy regulations in handling patient information.
