Job Title: Loan Officer Trainee
Department: Lending/Loan Department
Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai
Reports to: Senior Loan Officer/Branch Manager

Job Summary:
The Loan Officer Trainee position is designed for individuals seeking to build a career in the financial services and lending sector. As a trainee, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship to develop a deep understanding of loan products, credit analysis, customer service, and regulatory compliance. You will assist senior loan officers with loan origination, processing, and customer interactions, gaining essential skills and knowledge required to become a full-fledged Loan Officer.

Key Responsibilities:
Work with customers to explain loan products, terms, and repayment schedules.
Support the preparation of loan proposals and submit them for approval to senior officers or underwriters.
Develop a thorough understanding of company loan policies, lending regulations, and financial products.
Assist in maintaining accurate loan files and documentation in compliance with legal and company standards.
Learn to assess risk factors in lending and provide recommendations on loan approval or denial.
Work closely with senior loan officers in identifying customer needs and recommending suitable loan products.
Participate in training sessions on lending procedures, financial analysis, and compliance requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce,Economics, or a related field.

Knowledge: Basic understanding of lending practices, credit analysis, and banking regulations.

**Skills**:Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers.
Analytical thinking and attention to detail in reviewing financial information.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and loan management software.

Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple loan files simultaneously.

Customer-focused approach with problem-solving abilities.

Experience: Previous experience or internships in banking, customer service, or finance (preferred but not required).

A positive, customer-oriented attitude with a focus on meeting clients' financial needs.
