PYP Coordinator needed in an IB School.
The PYP Coordinator is a key member of the Primary Years Pedagogical Leadership Team and will take responsibility for the academic development of all Primary Years students to include implementing, coordinating, leading and ensure effective curriculum planning, teaching, assessment and recording
Education - Graduate or Postgraduate. Must have Degree in Education or equivalent (B.Ed., B.El.Ed., D.El.Ed., D.Ed.)
Diploma or other programs with IB
Experience
- Previous experience as PYP Coordinator.
Provide leadership to the school community; regularly keeps faculty and administration informed on PYP matters related to the Primary Years Program and all new/revised IB Primary Years Program publications.
Help teachers to plan, assess, record and evaluate learning and identify and address PYP professional development needs.
Support and mentor new Primary Years Program teachers and conducting induction into Primary Years
Lead Primary year staff in planning, coordinating, implementing, assessing and record learning within the framework of the IB Primary Years Program.
5 to 8 years of working experience as a Primary Year group teacher
4 to 6 years of working experience in leadership and management in Primary Year program
A track record of working collaboratively and productively as part of a team
Proven experience in delivering differentiated learning.
Expertise in developing indoor and outdoor environments to promote high quality learning in primary childhood education
Experienced in taking IB level trainings to the staff
Experience of using assessment and recording in the Primary Years as an effective school improvement tool
