Operations provides support for all of Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank and Investment Bank businesses to enable them to deliver transactions and processes to clients. The Derivatives & FX Corporate Settlements teams are responsible for the delivery of operational services to Investment Bank businesses which include trading in Foreign exchange, Rates, Credit Derivatives, Commodities and Equity products. Operational services cover both the (“Run The Bank”) as well as transformation (“Change the Bank”) for these functions.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Provide a quality service to the Investment Banking division in an efficient and cost effective way whilst maintaining appropriate control and risk management
- Managing the key metrics for Derivatives & FX Corporate Settlements team in line with agreed targets and risk tolerances
- Drive the development of strategic goals for Derivatives & FX Corporate Settlements teams
- Partner with Technology teams to drive strategic and tactical transformation programs to enhance processing efficiency and controls
- Partner with Middle Office Operations teams based in FIC to deliver a full F2B Operational service for the IB business
- Partner with the business to provide world class service to Corporate clients of the Bank who trade in Derivatives & FX products
- Follow the regulatory guidelines and ensure complete adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
- Provide People leadership, including the development of key talent and the overall needs of the staff
- Communicate specific and measurable business driven objectives at the beginning of the year, ensuring every team member has regular, continuous and constructive performance discussions
- Empower, manage, coach and mentor direct reports and others in the organization and hold their teams accountable for strong people, system and control management practices
- Ensure each direct report has sufficient time and skills to perform the correspondent role and proactively manage and mitigate potential conflicts of interests
- Proactively manage performance and people issues to ensure alignment with the Bank's goals, values and code of conduct
- Bring diverse teams together to collaborate on topics in order to achieve optimal ideas and recommendations
- Create an open and inclusive culture where team members are encouraged to offer and challenge ideas and practices
- Act as an escalation channel for the Group's benefit by ensuring matters are referred to the appropriate function within the Bank (i.e. HR, Compliance, AFC, Legal)

**Your skills and experience**
- Broad and deep knowledge of banking products, market and regulatory practices and client requirements. Prior Derivatives and FX Settlements experience is required. Broad experience in multiple asset classes across FX, Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives is required.
- Deep knowledge of Settlements roles and responsibilities, controls and process is required. Operational knowledge on Settlement systems and Industry platforms is preferred
- Ability to manage life cycle events such as M&A transactions, Fire-drill activities & Safe settlement of cashflows is a must
- Ability to smoothly manage net settlement across Asset classes and products as and when the situation demands delivering a world class service to the clients is a requisite
- Knowledge of Reset/Pay/Combo Advises for clients where the Bank acts as a calculating agent is preferred
- Proven track record of delivering operational excellence and in driving collaboration across multi-product and functional teams, in context of varied local regulations, market practices, technologies and processes
