Junior Merchandiser

**Job Title: Junior Merchandiser (Home Textile Manufacturing)**

**Location**: Lower Parel, Mumbai

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Order Management**:

- Assist in managing and processing orders from clients and customers.
- Ensure orders are entered accurately into the system, and track order status from inception to delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams to confirm product specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules.
- **Sample Coordination**:

- Coordinate with the design and production teams for the preparation of product samples.
- Follow up with the suppliers and factories for sample approvals, revisions, and finalization.
- Ensure samples are delivered on time for customer presentations or approvals.
- **Production Monitoring**:

- Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth execution of orders.
- Monitor the production process to ensure products meet quality standards and are produced according to client specifications.
- Address production issues and delays in coordination with the production manager.
- **Vendor Communication**:

- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and factories to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and trims.
- Follow up on production progress and delivery timelines, providing updates to the senior merchandising team.
- **Quality Control**:

- Assist in inspecting finished products for quality and conformity to design specifications.
- Collaborate with the quality control department to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
- **Customer Communication**:

- Communicate with clients regarding order status, samples, production updates, and shipping timelines.
- Assist in resolving customer issues related to order changes, defects, or delays in a timely manner.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of orders, samples, production schedules, and shipments.
- Assist in preparing reports and updates for senior management and clients.
- **Market Trend Analysis**:

- Assist in researching and analyzing current market trends and competitor products.
- Stay updated on new materials, fabrics, and techniques relevant to the home têxtile industry.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Textile, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the home têxtile industry or manufacturing sector.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with order management software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of têxtile manufacturing processes and product standards.
- **Key Competencies**:

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of supply chain management and production timelines.
