The Position

S&OP Demand Planning Executive

Job Summary
- Be responsible for the performance of domestic and international carriers and logistics intermediaries._
- Ensure compliance with international and domestic laws related to import/export activity._
- Evaluate tradeoffs between transportation cost, inventory cost and service levels._
- Develop logistics strategies and processes for entering new markets._
- Develop, solicit and maintain contracts and services for private rail car fleet, barge services, vessel chartering, stevedoring, maritime insurance and domestic rail rates._
- Supervise the unloading and transfer of imported bulk cargo._
- Coordinate raw material shipments and supplies to manufacturing sites._
- Establish most efficient route and mode of shipping finished goods to customers._
- Manage off site workhouses._
- Accountable for Customer satisfaction through OTIF_
- Responsible for the negotiation of freight rates for ocean, barge, truck, and rail shipments._
