**Position Overview**:
As a Field Coordinator for NGO projects, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and management of various initiatives aimed at community development, humanitarian aid, or environmental conservation. You will be responsible for coordinating field activities, ensuring smooth operations, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders including local communities, partner organizations, and government agencies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Project Planning and Implementation:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans and timelines.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of project activities in accordance with the project plan.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure project goals are achieved on time and within budget.
2. Field Operations Management:
- Manage day-to-day field operations, including logistics, procurement, and distribution of resources.
- Ensure compliance with project protocols, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Supervise field staff, provide guidance, and support their professional development.
3. Community Engagement and Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, partner organizations, and relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate community consultations, meetings, and feedback sessions to ensure their active participation in project activities.
- Advocate for the needs and interests of community members within the project framework.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to track project progress and outcomes.
- Collect and analyze data to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare timely and accurate project reports for donors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
5. Capacity Building and Training:
- Identify training needs and organize capacity-building sessions for field staff and community members.
- Promote knowledge sharing and learning within the team to enhance project effectiveness and sustainability.
6. Financial and Administrative Oversight:
- Assist in budget planning and financial management of field activities.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures related to finance, procurement, and administration.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (typically 2-5 years) in project management, preferably within the NGO sector and in field operations.
- Strong understanding of community development principles, humanitarian standards, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in relevant local languages being advantageous.
- Ability to work independently in remote or challenging environments, often with limited supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools/software.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in remote or rural areas as required.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the NGO, including principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and willingness to work irregular hours when necessary.
**Working Conditions**:
This position involves frequent travel to project sites and may require working in challenging environments with limited access to amenities. The Field Coordinator should be prepared to spend extended periods in the field, away from home base.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
