**Role description**:
**Major Incident Manager**

**_The Opportunity_**_:_
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Audit, analyze, and document critical service-impacting events.
- Serve as a backup in change management processes.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations, direct responses, and follow up on resolutions.
- Handle and periodically train others on major incident process workflow,
- Assist in improving current processes through automation.
- Undertake minor project work as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in major incident management or a related field.
- Strong understanding and ability to read Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and relationships.
- Proficiency in using ServiceNow.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to lead meetings with key stakeholders, higher-ups or senior leadership, and conduct instructor-led training.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
**Good to have**:
- Experience in process improvement and automation.
- Relevant certifications in ITIL or similar frameworks.
