Position: Front Office Staff
**Responsibilities**:
Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Provide accurate and timely information to inquiries from patients and visitors.
Answer incoming phone calls, route calls to appropriate departments, and take messages when necessary.
Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
Register new patients, collect necessary information, and ensure accurate data entry into the hospital's system.
Verify patient insurance information and process necessary documentation.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient patient flow and address any concerns or issues promptly.
Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary forms and documents are completed.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality and security of information.
Handle billing inquiries and provide basic billing information to patients.
Assist in managing the waiting area, ensuring cleanliness and a comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
Collaborate with the nursing and administrative staff to address any patient needs or concerns.
Maintain an organized and well-stocked front desk area.
Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and the local language.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with diverse individuals in a professional and empathetic manner.
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and remain calm and composed.
Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes is desirable.
Familiarity with insurance verification and billing procedures.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
