Job Description: Project Coordinator (Transmission & Distribution - EPC)
Overview:
The Project Coordinator for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth project execution, coordination among stakeholders, and adherence to project timelines and budgets. This role involves assisting project managers, tracking progress, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Coordination:
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, work plans, and progress tracking.
- Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure project activities align with contract specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
2. Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a bridge between internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Organize and participate in project meetings, preparing reports and minutes of meetings.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to senior management.
3. Procurement & Material Management:
- Support procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to avoid delays in project execution.
4. Risk & Quality Management:
- Identify potential risks and work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that quality control measures and safety standards are followed at each project phase.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, approvals, permits, and change orders.
- Track project expenditures and assist in cost control to stay within budget.
6. Site Coordination & Support:
- Assist in resolving on-site challenges by coordinating with field teams and engineers.
- Conduct site visits to ensure work progress and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Experience & Skills:
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
**Experience**:
- 3-7 years of experience in project coordination or management within the T&D EPC sector.
- Exposure to high-voltage transmission lines, substations, or distribution networks.
- Experience in working with EPC contracts, suppliers, and regulatory compliance.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
- Understanding of electrical transmission & distribution systems and construction methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as IEEE, IEC, and NEC.
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good Command in English Written, Spoken, Reading
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
