**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the design implementation and maintenance of database systems using MS SQL Server Compact and MS SQL Server.
- Oversee the performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Provide support for database-related issues including troubleshooting and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
- Ensure database security by implementing and maintaining appropriate access controls and encryption methods.
- Monitor database performance and conduct regular audits to identify and address potential issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations processes and procedures.
- Implement automation scripts to streamline database management tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members on best practices for database management and optimization.
- Participate in the planning and execution of database migrations and upgrades.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and incorporate relevant improvements into the infrastructure.
- Contribute to the development of disaster recovery plans and ensure their effectiveness through regular testing.

**Qualifications**
- Possess a strong background in MS SQL Server Compact and MS SQL Server with at least 7 years of hands-on experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
- Have a solid understanding of database security principles and best practices.
- Show experience in developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies.
- Exhibit excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving database-related issues.
- Be adept at collaborating with development teams to design efficient database schemas.
