Principal Architect

DeepHealth is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Architect for our Cloud PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based PACS solutions. The Principal Architect will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Architecture Design and Development**:

- Lead the architectural design and development of cloud-based PACS solutions.
- Ensure the system architecture is scalable, robust, and secure to handle high volumes of medical imaging data.
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and technical documentation.
- **Technical Leadership**:

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers and developers.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices in cloud technologies and PACS systems.
- Collaborate with other architects and technical leaders to define and maintain the technical vision and strategy.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the solution meets clinical and operational requirements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- **Innovation and Improvement**:

- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies, PACS, and healthcare IT.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, security, and functionality of our PACS solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance the capabilities of the PACS system.
- **Compliance and Security**:

- Ensure that the PACS solutions comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, DICOM, HL7).
- Implement and enforce best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions, preferably in the healthcare domain.
- Deep understanding of PACS systems, DICOM standards, and medical imaging workflows.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence in medical imaging.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7).
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced technology environment.
