Principal Security Engineer

Principal Security Engineer – India – Cybersecurity Engineering:

As a Principal Security Engineer, your
leadership will encompass safeguarding infrastructure, network, cloud, and
AI-driven systems across Cornerstone's enterprise environments. This role demands
not only vision and expertise to design, implement, and continually enhance
security measures for data centers, networks, cloud platforms, and artificial
intelligence assets, but also foresight to address emerging risks unique to AI
technologies. You will work closely with technology teams, leadership, and
external partners to advance Cornerstone's global and regional security
strategy, ensure robust protection for AI solutions, maintain compliance, and
foster a culture of security innovation throughout the organization.

In this role you will..

• Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of security architectures and frameworks for infrastructure, network, and cloud environments, ensuring rigorous alignment with Cornerstone's global standards and India-specific requirements.
• Design secure cloud solutions, integrating advanced security technologies such as identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, and zero-trust models for multi-cloud and hybrid scenarios.
• Architect and implement comprehensive security controls for data centers, network perimeters, cloud platforms, and virtualized environments, leveraging industry best practices.
• Direct vulnerability management programs, including assessments, penetration testing, and seamless remediation for both on-premises and cloud-based assets.
• Proactively monitor and respond to threats across infrastructure, network, and cloud environments, ensuring swift detection, response, and recovery.
• Ensure compliance with regional and global policies governing infrastructure, network, and cloud security, facilitating proper data protection, segmentation, and secure access.
• Offer technical leadership and strategic guidance to infrastructure, network, and cloud teams, promoting excellence in design, deployment, and operational security.
• Engage with external partners, auditors, and regulatory authorities to maintain robust security standards throughout Cornerstone's technology stack.
• Develop and deliver training programs to increase awareness of infrastructure, network, and cloud security best practices across the organization.
• Evangelize security across all teams and influence
  change where needed.
• Implement and maintain technical solutions to support
  compliance frameworks requirements including SSAE18, FedRAMP and ISO 27001.
• Must be able to provide hands-on support for a wide
  range of security technologies including, but not limited to: SEIM, IDS,
  Vulnerability Scanners, CNAPP.

You've got what it takes if you have…

• Bachelor's degree in an
  Information Technology related field of study or equivalent work
  experience.
• 10+ years of experience in system,
  network and/or cloud security.
• Experience with network
  firewalls and reviewing configurations and ACLs.
• Experience working on security
  responsibilities for SaaS or PaaS solutions, preferably in AWS.
  (Experience with GCP and Azure is a plus).
• Experience creating solutions
  in C#, Python, Node.JS, or Go, and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation).
• Experience with CI/CD practices
  and tools (Git, Jenkins) and integrating security solutions into CI/CD
  pipeline's.
• Experience working with,
  reviewing, or implementing controls within major security frameworks (e.g.
  FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, SOC2 Type 2).
• Self-motivation and the ability
  to work under minimal supervision are a must.
• Excellent at multitasking, and
  open to constant learning.
• Excellent problem solving and
  analytical skills; outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Must be a US Citizen and based
  in the US.

• Have applicable IT security certifications (CISSP, AWS Security, CISM, etc.).
• Designed and implemented security controls in a cloud-first environment.
• Exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes and security controls.
• Experience implementing security controls in a
  microservices cloud environment.
