**Purpose**

**Job duties and Accountabilities**:
**Research**

- To support research on solid waste management and têxtile waste management, including mapping the sector and assessing current practices and challenges.
- To review literature and track national and global policy developments related to têxtile and solid waste management.
- To provide assistance in compiling and analysing data through a primary survey.
- To provide research content for the organisation's web pages, blogs, issue briefs, etc.
- To participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training programmes for a comprehensive understanding of air quality and solid waste management in India and globally.

**Programme assistance**

- Assist with project implementation, including help with preparing presentations, factsheets and other communication material.
- Support efforts to use new media platforms for the wide dissemination of CEEW's work and, in turn, closer engagement with the wider community.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and assist with preparing minutes of the meeting.
- Support senior team members for important meetings and sessions, prepare notes, and conduct follow-ups, as required.

**Selection Criteria**

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in science, public policy, data science, urban planning, economics, resource management or any related field.

**Work experience**

- 0-1 years experience in data science and policy research.
- Desirable: Research experience in the domain of air quality and solid waste management.
- Desirable: Experience in field research, for data collection/training of enumerators/sampling of households/pilot testing and monitoring activities.

**Key Skills**

- Must be proficient in Hindi, English and Punjabi.
- Must have strong communication skills for effective, efficient, and adaptive verbal and written communication, and active listening.
- Must have strong research skills - the capability to carry out systematic literature review, and familiarity with research methods.
- Experience working on data analysis tools like Excel, R, Python, and Power BI.
