**Project Cost Estimation**

**Establish and maintain estimating standards, procedures and requirements for the calculation of expected costs for various refinery and petrochemical process plants and supporting offsite and utility installations including**:

- **AACE Class 5 estimates for screening (+-50%)**:

- **AACE Class 4 estimates for Sanction of FEED phase development. (+-30%)**:

- **AACE Class 3 estimates for Sanction of Execute phase and full project development. (+-10%)**

**Support, review and benchmark estimates prepared by other agencies in support estimating accuracy requirements.**

**Ensure proper level and accuracy of cost estimates required for the approval process.**

**Recommend Contingency levels at each stage to recognise residual risk inherent in the estimate.

- Develop In-house databaseDevelop and maintain a data base for cost estimation including benchmarks for evaluating estimate components and overall confirmation purposes.

Develop and maintain appropriate checks and balances to validate component level costs via e.g Lang factors and ratios.

Maintain up to date rates for various commodity supply, engineering effort, fabrication rates and construction activities at project location.

Cost Estimation Software

Maintain the cost estimation software tools and develop Nayara standards with respect of:

- Aspen Kbase
- Risk analysis for contingency assessment
- benchmarking

- Management ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, coaching and guidance to other members of the estimating group. Set targets and review progress against goals in support of estimating group work.

Interview and recruit as necessary for Nayara vacancies and also review capability of estimators offered by consultants and contractors in support of Nayara work.

Interact and coordinate with other Nayara groups within asset development (Technical, Finance, Contracts and Procurement) to ensure estimating requirements are known and understood.

Present and support estimating outputs to senior management.
