**Housekeeping Trainee Job Description**

**Job Title**: Housekeeping Trainee
**Department**: Housekeeping
**Reports To**: Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Housekeeping Trainee is responsible for learning and assisting with the daily cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role is designed to provide hands-on training and experience in housekeeping operations to ensure high cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in cleaning and servicing guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Learn proper cleaning techniques and use of housekeeping equipment.
- Replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks meet hotel/hospitality standards.
- Follow proper laundry handling and linen management procedures.
- Maintain proper inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and housekeeping policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests when needed.
- Assist in special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under supervision.
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift objects for extended periods.

**Work Conditions**:

- May require working on weekends, holidays, and shifts.
- Physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long hours.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
