Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost analysis: Analyze manufacturing and production costs, including labor and overheads, to identify trends and inefficiencies.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs and providing insights on profitability.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts, as well as monitoring the monthly closing process.
  • Variance analysis: Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual costs to budgeted or standard costs to identify and investigate discrepancies.
  • Cost control: Help develop strategies to reduce costs and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Compliance and auditing: Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations, and assist with internal cost audits.
  • Inventory valuation: Assist in the valuation of inventory and production costs to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Ad-hoc requests: Support the finance team with other tasks and ad-hoc requests as needed.

  • Relevant professional certifications CMA) preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in a cost accounting role, particularly within a manufacturing or similar industry.
