Description

The Shift In Charge is responsible for overseeing the production activities and ensuring smooth operations during designated shifts in a manufacturing unit. They manage a team of production workers, monitor production processes, and maintain quality standards to achieve production targets efficiently and safely.

**Responsibilities**:
Production Supervision: Supervise production activities during assigned shifts to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

Team Management: Lead and manage a team of production workers, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.

Workflow Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure seamless workflow and timely resolution of issues.

Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, effectively to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.

Quality Assurance: Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Take corrective actions as needed to maintain product quality.

Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.

Training and Development: Provide training to production staff on operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards. Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.

Performance Monitoring: Track production performance metrics, such as yield, cycle time, and scrap rate, and take proactive measures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot production issues, such as equipment malfunctions or process deviations, to minimize disruptions and maintain production output.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, shift logs, and inventory records. Prepare shift reports and communicate key metrics to management.
