**Job Title: QC-Upholstery Production**
**Location**:Jaipur, Rajasthan
**Salary**:INR 2,40,000 - INR 3,60,000 per annum (CTC)
A **Quality Analyst in Upholstery** is responsible for ensuring that upholstered products meet the required quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations. The role involves inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products to maintain high levels of quality and consistency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Quality Control Inspections**:
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials (e.g., fabric, foam, and leather) for defects or imperfections before production begins.
- Inspect and assess the finished upholstered products for stitching quality, fabric integrity, padding uniformity, and overall craftsmanship.
- Ensure that each product adheres to design specifications, functionality, and aesthetic requirements.
- **Material Evaluation**:
- Work closely with suppliers to evaluate and select materials that meet both aesthetic and durability standards.
- Perform testing on materials (e.g., color fastness, abrasion resistance) to ensure suitability for production.
- **Product Testing**:
- Conduct durability tests on upholstery (e.g., testing fabric resistance to wear and tear, testing foam for comfort and support).
- Evaluate the overall structural integrity of upholstered furniture, including the frame, cushion support, and fabric longevity.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and product evaluations.
- Document quality issues and assist in developing solutions to improve product quality.
- Generate detailed reports on quality issues, findings, and corrective actions taken.
- **Defect Identification and Troubleshooting**:
- Identify defects in both materials and finished products.
- Work with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Suggest design or manufacturing process improvements to enhance product quality.
- **Collaboration**:
- Coordinate with production, design, and procurement teams to communicate quality standards and concerns.
- Provide feedback to the production team to ensure continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
- **Compliance with Standards**:
- Ensure that all upholstered products meet regulatory standards, such as fire resistance, environmental impact, and safety requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and quality certifications to maintain competitive product offerings.
- **Training and Guidance**:
- Train production staff on quality standards and best practices for maintaining high-quality upholstery.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve production techniques and overall product quality.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to detect subtle defects or inconsistencies in fabrics, stitching, and overall product appearance.
- **Knowledge of Upholstery Materials**: Familiarity with various upholstery fabrics, padding, and frame materials, along with their performance characteristics.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify quality issues and find effective solutions.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with testing equipment for fabric and foam durability and comfort.
- **Communication**: Ability to clearly communicate quality concerns to production teams and stakeholders.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance roles in furniture manufacturing or a related field.
**Education and Experience**:
- Typically, a Quality Analyst in Upholstery would have a background in manufacturing, têxtile engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in quality control, upholstery, or a similar industry is often required.
- Full-time position.
Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
