**Responsibilities**:
- **Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning**:
- Develop and implement a structured music curriculum that aligns with educational standards and the needs of students.
- Plan engaging and age-appropriate lessons that focus on music theory, history, ear training, vocal performance, or instrumental techniques.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the skill level, age, and learning style of each student.
- Integrate different musical genres, cultures, and historical contexts to broaden students’ musical knowledge.
- **Music Theory and Practical Instruction**:
- Teach basic and advanced music theory concepts, including notation, rhythm, scales, chords, and harmony.
- Instruct students in playing musical instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, violin) or vocal performance, helping them develop proper technique and musicianship.
- Provide individualized instruction to students, identifying areas for improvement and tailoring lessons to their specific needs.
- Encourage students to practice regularly and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- **Group and Individual Lessons**:
- Conduct individual or group lessons, depending on the needs and objectives of the students.
- Encourage collaboration in group performances, ensembles, or choirs to develop teamwork and ensemble skills.
- Offer one-on-one instruction for students who need extra help or wish to progress faster in specific areas.
- **Student Assessment and Evaluation**:
- Assess students' progress through regular performance evaluations, tests, and assignments.
- Provide constructive feedback on students’ performances, highlighting areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
- Track and document student progress, preparing reports for parents or guardians regarding achievements and areas for growth.
- **Classroom Management**:
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment that fosters creativity, discipline, and respect for music and fellow students.
- Manage student behavior in a fair and consistent manner, ensuring that students are engaged and productive during lessons.
- Encourage students to respect and appreciate music, supporting a growth mindset in musical development.
- **Extracurricular Activities**:
- Organize and lead extracurricular music activities such as school bands, choirs, music clubs, and talent shows.
- Plan and prepare students for school performances, concerts, competitions, and recitals.
- Work with students to enhance their performance skills, provide practice schedules, and help them prepare for auditions or public performances.
- **Student Engagement and Motivation**:
- Inspire and motivate students to develop a passion for music through interactive lessons, performances, and projects.
- Help students set personal musical goals and encourage them to explore different musical genres, composers, and techniques.
- Foster a love for music while developing students’ discipline, creativity, and self-expression.
- **Parent and Guardian Communication**:
- Regularly communicate with parents or guardians regarding students' progress, challenges, and successes.
- Hold parent-teacher conferences to discuss student development and performance goals.
- Provide parents with suggestions on how to support their child's musical education at home.
- **Professional Development**:
- Stay updated with new trends and techniques in music education, teaching methods, and technology used in music teaching.
- Attend workshops, conferences, and training to improve teaching methods and enhance students’ learning experiences.
- Collaborate with other teachers to share ideas, resources, and best practices.
- **Event Planning and Coordination**:
- Organize and oversee school music events, concerts, recitals, and festivals.
- Coordinate rehearsals, logistics, and materials for performances.
- Encourage student participation in local, regional, or national music competitions.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

- Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
