**JOB TITLE : Manager-Technical Sales**
**Job Summary**: The Technical Sales Manager for Wastewater Treatment Plants is responsible for driving sales of wastewater treatment plant equipment and solutions. This role involves a combination of technical knowledge, sales expertise, and customer relationship management. The Technical Sales Manager will work closely with clients to understand their wastewater treatment needs and recommend suitable solutions. Additionally, they will collaborate with the engineering and marketing teams to develop sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Develop and implement a sales strategy to promote and sell wastewater treatment plant equipment and solutions.
2. Identify and prospect potential clients in the target market segments, including industrial, municipal, and commercial sectors.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their specific wastewater treatment requirements.
4. Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site visits to educate customers about the features and benefits of the wastewater treatment products.
5. Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts, negotiating terms and pricing to secure sales agreements.
6. Collaborate with the project & Production team to assess customer needs and provide technical support and expertise throughout the sales process.
7. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in wastewater treatment technologies to offer the most relevant solutions to customers.
8. Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand the company's presence and generate new leads.
9. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, including brochures, case studies, and technical documents, to support the sales process.
10. Track sales activities, maintain accurate records of customer interactions, and provide regular reports and forecasts to the sales management team.
**Qualifications**:
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the field of wastewater treatment plants or a related industry.
3. Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and technologies.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical information to customers.
5. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
6. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with cross-functional departments.
8. Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, opportunities, and customer data.
9. Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend industry events as required.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Professional certifications in wastewater treatment or related areas.
Prior experience working with wastewater treatment plant operators or consulting firms.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements related to wastewater treatment.
