**Job description**

**System Administrator**:
**Summary**

The System Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments (2016 onwards and above). The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of servers and related infrastructure.

**Important**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain **Windows Server 2016/2019/2022** (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File & Print Services, etc.).

**Required skills**
- Strong knowledge of **Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration**.
- Proficiency in **Active Directory**, **Group Policy Management**, **DNS**, **DHCP**, **File Services**, and **PowerShell scripting**.
- Understanding of **networking fundamentals** (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
- Familiarity with **backup tools** (Veeam, Acronis, or Windows Server Backup).
- Knowledge of **security practices**, server hardening, and patch management.
- Basic exposure to **Azure AD** or **Office 365 administration** is a plus.
- Manage **user accounts, permissions, and policies** through Active Directory.
- Handle **server hardening, patching, and performance optimization**.
- Configure and maintain virtualized environments.
- Set up and monitor **backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures**.
- Manage **IIS, RDP, and Remote Access services**.
- Monitor server performance, system logs, and security events.
- Implement and maintain **security protocols** (firewall rules, access control, encryption).
- Document configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
- Security & Maintenance:

- Support desktop maintenance, security maintenance, including virus updates and patch management.
- Perform routine system maintenance, including updates and patches.
- User Assistance & Training:

- Assist with setting up workstations for new employees.
- Provide training on standard software and systems.
- Documentation & Compliance:

- Document and track issues and their resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
- Collaboration & Technical Communication:

- Interact with technical personnel at various levels.
- Address technical issues for non-technical associates effectively.
- Service Efficiency:

- Ensure timely and efficient resolution of issues within the defined timeframe.

**Qualification**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., **MCSA**, **MCSE**, or **Azure Administrator Associate**) are advantageous.

**Experience**
- Minimum **5+ years** of hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments in a corporate setup.
