Job Summary

The Store Assistant is in charge of updating stock levels in the inventory system. He/She knows the importance of inventory control. He/She keeps enough stock levels to avoid overstocking. He/She is familiar with the store layout. He/She replaces stock to meet company's standards based on the company's guidelines. The Store Assistant makes sure that all areas of the stores are clean and tidy at all times and he liable to provide assistance to the store manager in his day-to-day tasks.

Principle

**Responsibilities**:
Assist store staff in displaying products in an easy-to-locate manner.

Assist and help to co-related departments in locating their items of purchase.

Assist stores staff in managing inventory controls.

Maintain the store area neat and clean and sanitized.

Handle safely and delicately the items and products in a store.

Implement best standards including LIFO & FIFO methods towards store setting.

Coordinating with the purchase team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.

Maintaining the highest level of visual merchandising and store conditions.

Receiving, processing, organizing and deliveries accordingly.

Assist in the receipt of all purchases delivered, stock-in and coordination of deliveries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Analytical capability to interpret and present data.
- Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends.
- Knowledge of Material-Stock Management System.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Excellent technical-practical writing, documentation, and record keeping skills.
- Financial skills including tally, stock management etc.

Education and Experience
- Bachelors in related field would be desirable as would formally Commerce background.
- Diploma In material Management would be added advantage.
- Basic Knowledge in Tally, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.
