**Role **- Accounting, Staff

- You will have incredibly strong accounting and revenue recognition expertise, and analytical skills, work smartly, a good communicator and leader, yet humble enough to roll up your sleeves and get into the details.
- **What will you do**
- Assist and Support monthly closing activities including, but not limited to, reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, performing accounting assessments, preparing accurate journal entries, reconciliations, data analysis, documenting revenue conclusions and ad hoc requests
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for various revenue accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP
- Perform reviews of revenue transactions of acquired contracts for accounting compliance with applicable US GAAP
- Identify actionable insights and suggest recommendations to address issues and improve accounting processes/efficiencies
- Partner closely with cross-functional to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvements
- To succeed in this role, you should also have a problem-solving attitude
- Should have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices and demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment

**Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified**
- Must be, or recently have been, a senior revenue accountant or the assistant revenue manager for a company in the software space
- Must have a CPA/CA and a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a corporate finance environment, ideally including 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting of software and cloud-based offerings.
- Experience in SAP/HANA 4 is a plus
- Must have an understanding of ASC 606 and preferably have worked in a company that has been through the adoption of the new standard
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to efficiently provide high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate complex scenarios and topics in a clear and ingestible manner to the team and senior management
- Above all else, a willingness to undertake all projects to support your teammates and improve the overall effectiveness of the function.
