- Purpose Of Role:
- Data build and Inventory Data Cleanse in BTGS Central repository; its upstream and downstream systems.- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Inventory Data Quality baseline for a particular customer: Inventory data quality is monitored on a weekly basis from Keep Inventory Clean portal through various reports.
- These reports are customized further (using automation/macros) based on the contract requirement and shared with the wider audience.
- Collate and Reconcile Inventory Baseline data for the Contract: Various Inventory Data reports received from external source systems (Classic, IPMS, Orion etc.) are compared with the master data received from customer in order to maintain the data integrity in Central BTGS repository. Excel macros are used to fetch data from components like CSS, COSMOS etc.
- Right first Time configuration of data across Network Monitoring and Capacity Reporting systems: During migration/transition/provision of new/existing sites/devices, all the necessary checkpoints are ensured to be in place having details in-line with the business requirement. Having end-to-end order journey knowledge as well as the knowledge over Inventory System workflow is the key here. Insight is required over various BT monitoring tools like NMDB, SMARTS, IONIX, NPMD etc. to ensure the availability & reachability up to the set business level.
- Clean BTGS Central repository as One-Truth Inventory database to ensure Inventory based billing set-up through Billing Gateway: Ensuring BTGS Central repository data to be accurate and as per the standard basis the quotes/invoices (agreed by contract owner/customer) received from the Service Request Management Team. This shall, in turn, ensure the correct billing data being flown into the respective billing systems. Understanding of BT business is a mandate here.
- Ensuring Data Integrity
- Collating information from respective different data sources of Inventory System
- Operational Engagement and Service Readiness:

- Rules driven advanced Data Analytics and reporting: To analyse the overall contract specific data and provide graphical representation of the same, Oracle Data Visualization tool is used extensively.
- Customer Consolidation activity across different entity of the Account: To perform the Customer Consolidation activity, detailed understanding of the system data flow is required along with advanced excel knowledge and SQL queries (to fetch data from different databases).
- Maximizing Contract Revenue & Margin: Ensuring data integrity in various BT systems, understanding of Inventory data flow as per the business, ensuring On Time Delivery of received customer requests lead to maximize the Contract Revenue & Margin.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years’ experience in either a Telecom or Analysts domain.
- Graduate (minimum 3 years college level) education preferable B.Tech.
- Highly Numerate, exceptional understanding of MS Excel, SQL, Tableau.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Competence in Windows based tools (Outlook/Word/Excel)
- Skills/Experience:
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills including Excel, MS Access, MS Word, VBA.
- Good knowledge for PL/SQL, Tableau
- Being able to work in a team as well as an individual contributor.
- Being able to take ownership if tasks assigned and complete them on time, escalate early to the management.
- Experience in working in a diverse and fast paced work environment.
