Seeking in-house legal counsel (legal executive), with 2 years of experience working on corporate legal matters, primarily in the areas of contract drafting, review, and negotiations, with other support to internal business. Position provides immense exposure to work with Geo Legal Counsel towards variety of legal matters, structuring of engagements with global customers, alliance partners and vendors; also provides an opportunity to develop trusted relationships with geographic leadership, as well as sales and account management teams. Also presents an opportunity to mentor junior lawyers and cultivate management skills.

Position will be based out of Pune, India.

**Requirements**:

- Strong knowledge of contract and corporate law.
- Relevant in-house experience or comparable skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Self-driven and confidence to work independently, while collaborating within and contributing to a team (both within the legal team and the company as a whole).
- Foundational knowledge in information technology or software engineering services is desired.
- Exposure to contract management tools & systems is beneficial.

**Responsibilities**:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including services agreements, software licensing, NDA’s, vendor, subcontractor, and other similar contracts. Ensuring agreements align with company guidelines and meet market conditions.
- Utilizing a contract management platform for contract lifecycle management.
- Addressing contract-related queries and providing ad hoc support to business teams.
- Advising on applicable laws, rules, and regulations, as well as ethical principles.
- Contributing to the improvement of contracts playbook, preferred terms, template portfolio, and similar initiatives.
- Providing required legal advisory support to other internal stakeholders, such as HR, insurance, finance, procurement, and compliance.
- Supporting legal management for privacy, risk management controls, legal cost controls, and other programs.
- Developing trusted relationships with leadership, sales, and account management.
- Providing mentorship to trainees and cultivating management skills.
