**About the team and the role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintenance of existing models (retraining for new clients, expansion)
- Integrate internal P&C Solutions on Analytics and Portfolio Insights into SwiftRe® solution
- Build Accumulation / Aggregate view of risks prior to placement
- Test and evaluate external vendor models
- Integrate satellite-based machine-vision for assessing the property
- Develop and maintain dashboards that give competitive insights to the clients
- Drive the data discovery process asking the right questions data acquisition and data cleaning
- Integrate and store data initial data investigation and exploratory data analysis
- Perform offline or online analysis of large datasets
- Involved in big data technologies and prototype solutions to improve our data processing and analytics architecture
- Help the clients/ stakeholders to make efficient decisions based on their data needs understanding for data, schema, data model, machine learning and how to bring efficiency in big data lifecycle
- Identify project issues, communicate them effectively and assist in their resolution
- 6+ years of experience working as a data scientist in Insurance domain, with a quantitative background (engineering, statistics, economics) or a degree in Data Science
- Strong experience in multi-variate non-linear modelling (ML/ AI)
- Experienced in traditional modelling techniques (Linear regression analysis, time series analysis)
- Knowledge of Text mining using web-scraping, NLP or Deep learning
- Knowledge of solving problems using machine learning techniques
- Working knowledge of the latest modelling and visualization packages in R/Python
- Experience using business intelligence tools and data frameworks
- Able to product high-quality, secure and maintainable code in an agile environment (GIT etc)
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms and experience with common data science toolkits
- Experienced in driving development of data analytics solutions
- Experience with data visualization tools and proficiency in using query languages
- Experience with NoSQL database such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase
- Good knowledge of applied statistics such as distribution, statistical testing, regression etc and good scripting and programming skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a great attention to detail and accuracy
- Data-oriented personality

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to network in an interdisciplinary, multi-cultural environment and cross-functional teams
- Proficient in English spoken and written, any additional language is a plus
- Self
