SwiftRe Operations Specialist I

About the Role : SwiftRe is an efficient web-based platform providing mid-market and facultative business to our clients. It is an easy to use and efficient online risk placement, claims and accounting channel for clients. This position includes handling a client portfolio with detailed operational focus, steering parameters from post-bind experience and contributing in process and system development.  The role comprises, but not limited to, the following elements: · Being a role model on own expertise area and deliver outstanding performance consistently. · Core portfolio comprises of Single Fac risks via SwiftRe Platform and Fac Facilities via Fac Portal · Focusing on optimal automation to drive business growth and delivering differentiated experience to our clients with a direct impact on business growth, internally and externally. · Keen eye for detail, base decision making on data analytics. · End to end process of managing portfolio and creating client delight - Monitoring of outstanding statements, overall cash flow management and escalations needed towards delivering business sensitive operational results – with undiluted focus on Ease of Doing Business. · Ensuring that clients submit timely and quality data as per contractually agreements, subsequent analysis & uploading of insurance data into the system. · On exceptional need basis, supporting our clients in administering their contracts and processing statements on behalf of clients in SwiftRe portal. · Coordination of technical and financial accounting issues with diverse market accounting teams in various Swiss Re Units and regions. · Providing client administration and support regarding tools, processes and record management. · Training the clients on a regular basis to update their knowledge on SwiftRe’s accounting and payments processes. · The role also includes strong interactions with our internal cross-functional and Underwriting teams (via email, phone and in-person visits) · Identify opportunities for simplification, support process improvements and system enhancement. Collaborate with Business Expert Networks on regular basis for sustainable implementation of client processes. · Participation in User Acceptance Testing and reporting out of user summary as required. · Executing Operations strategy in alignment with our mandates of fulfilling Data Quality, Governance and Risk Management requirements. · Support global automation and client differentiation initiatives.  Key Competencies: Operational and Strategic acumen: Understands the underlying business dynamics and pro-actively improves processes and escalates need for support towards delivering business-sensitive operational results. Focus on automation and process improvement: Is able to identify opportunities to collaborate, understand and improve the processes within the team while being a part of the cross-functional value chain and is able to analyze, execute and deliver such improvements. Focus on upcoming technological changes and automation including development of next phase of SwiftRe suite. Taking initiative/decision making: Ability to make decisions within a very dynamic business environment, demonstrates a methodical/rational thought process and takes initiative in collaboratively finding solutions. Commercial Mindset and Big Picture thinking: Possesses understanding of the organization’s vision, mission and strategy of Commercial Culture. Demonstrates a clear commitment towards steering business outcomesaccording to Divisional priorities.  About You:   · Excellent verbal and written business communication skills. Proficient speaking knowledge of French, German or Spanish language would be an added advantage. · Minimum Bachelor/Masters in Finance, Accounting or related fields. Insurance/Finance related certifications will be an added advantage. Outstanding performer with minimum 7-8 years of work experience preferably working closely with diverse business functions and proven ability to work cross functionally and virtually. · Pro-actively approaching business challenges and high level of business acumen to balance delivery of objectives. · Ability to work together collaboratively and constructively in a team/group environment. · Strong Analytical skills (flair for figures), including Advanced Excel (Macros, Power BI). Working knowledge of data science tools and previous experience on portfolio steering techniques would be a strong advantage. · Awareness of Market trends & developments (new product developments, regulatory changes, financial requirements). · Ability to challenge the status quo & manage multiple stakeholders (multi-cultural and cross functional teams in a virtual set-up). · Understanding business rationale which enables business decisions creating a positive impact for clients. · Ability to substantially contribute to and work with multi-cultural and cross functional teams in a virtual set-up. · Being an agile team player with the ability to manage own workload and demonstrate a sense of Accountability, Responsibility and Commitment.
