**Job Summary**:
The **Nursing Superintendent** is responsible for overseeing and managing the nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and implementing hospital policies and protocols. She will coordinate with the management, doctors, and other departments to ensure smooth hospital operations and maintain quality nursing services.
**Key Responsibilities:1. Nursing Staff Management**:
- Supervise and lead the nursing staff, ensuring discipline and professionalism.
- Assign duties, create work schedules, and manage shifts to ensure adequate staffing.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide feedback for improvement.
- Oversee staff training and professional development programs.
**2. Patient Care & Safety**:
- Ensure that high-quality nursing care is provided to all patients.
- Implement infection control policies and ensure a hygienic hospital environment.
- Monitor patient safety and ensure that all nursing procedures are carried out correctly.
- Address and resolve patient complaints related to nursing care.
**3. Policy Implementation & Compliance**:
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and NABH/NABL standards.
- Enforce compliance with medical laws, ethical guidelines, and hospital regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and medical records.
**4. Coordination with Other Departments**:
- Collaborate with doctors, medical officers, and department heads to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in hospital meetings and provide nursing-related updates to the management.
- Work closely with HR for nursing recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions.
**5. Inventory & Resource Management**:
- Ensure adequate availability of medical supplies, equipment, and drugs for patient care.
- Oversee maintenance of nursing-related equipment and request replacements when necessary.
- Manage budget allocations for nursing resources and optimize costs.
**6. Training & Development**:
- Organize regular training programs for nurses on updated medical practices and emergency response.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new nurses and ensure proper mentoring.
- Promote continuous learning and encourage nurses to upgrade their skills.
**7. Emergency & Crisis Management**:
- Be available on-call for emergency situations and critical cases.
- Ensure nurses are well-trained in handling emergencies, including CPR, trauma care, and ICU procedures.
- Coordinate with emergency teams and assist in mass casualty situations.
**8. Quality Assurance & Audits**:
- Conduct regular internal audits of nursing procedures and patient care standards.
- Ensure timely documentation of reports, incident logs, and quality assessments.
- Participate in accreditation processes and hospital quality improvement programs.
**9. Employee Welfare & Discipline**:
- Address grievances of nursing staff and resolve workplace conflicts professionally.
- Ensure nurses maintain professional ethics, dress codes, and behavior standards.
- Implement rewards and recognition programs for outstanding nursing staff.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- **Education**: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- **Experience**: Minimum **10+ years** of experience in hospital nursing, with at least **5 years in a supervisory role**.
- **Skills**: Leadership, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- **Certifications**: Registration with the Nursing Council of India.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
