**Job Description of Nursing Superintendent**

The Nursing Superintendent, also called the Director of Nursing, is responsible for the running and supervision of the nursing department for 24 hours.
- Responsible for efficient running of Nursing Services in the hospital
- Assist the Operations Head in formulating broad policies concerning Nursing Services
- Disseminate the aim, objectives and policies regarding patient care to all nurses
- Plan requirements of nurses and carry out recruitment of nurses
- Plan & disseminate programmes for continuing education and re-orientation programmes for nurses.
- Closely interact with all departments regarding improvement of patient care.
- Encourage research by nurses in their work areas.
- Guide and counsel the sub-ordinate nursing staff.
- Keep abreast of the latest happenings in nursing care by attending National /International conferences.
- Strive to implement standard nursing practices and maintain the highest quality ofcare.
- Critically analyse the budgets for nursing services
- Carrying out daily ward rounds to ensure that all procedures are being carried out asper NABH Standards.
- Conduct routine meetings at different levels to monitor the service delivery levels.
- Investigation of complaints from patients and their resolution.
- Provide timely reports and feedback on any issues related to patient care.
- Assess and guide nurses on improving their skills and communication skills.

**Salary**: From ₹40,000.00 per month
