Chief Technology Officer

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s technical strategy to support its overall business goals.
- Keep the company at the forefront of technological developments in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and related technologies.
- Lead the platform architecture design, scalability, and security strategy.
- Align technology development with product vision, including user experience, transaction processing, and scalability.

2. Platform Security & Compliance
- Ensure the exchange meets the highest security standards, addressing potential cybersecurity risks.
- Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and internal/external audits.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, redundancy, and high-availability solutions.
- Drive the adoption of best practices for securing crypto wallets, key management, and private data.

3. Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Establish and enforce agile methodologies to ensure rapid, iterative development cycles.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with product, marketing, and operations teams.
- Implement processes to optimize team productivity, performance, and quality assurance.

4. Innovation & R&D
- Explore and implement new technologies that improve the functionality and security of the exchange.
- Monitor and respond to trends in decentralized finance (DeFi), blockchain, and cryptocurrency exchanges.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging new technologies to enhance the exchange’s competitive edge.

5. *perational Oversight
- Oversee all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure, including backend, frontend, mobile, and cloud services.
- Ensure the platform maintains optimal uptime, with a focus on scalability and low-latency trading operations.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including cloud hosting providers, blockchain analytics tools, and security partners.

6. Regulatory & Risk Management
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations (KYC, AML, GDPR, etc.).
- Implement robust risk management frameworks to minimize potential losses and security breaches.

Required Qualifications
- *Experience: 1

0+ years in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, or financial technology sectors.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, wallets, and cryptocurrency trading.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with system architecture, cloud computing, microservices, security, and backend engineering.
- Security Acumen: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and practices, particularly in the context of crypto exchanges.
- Leadership: Proven experience building and managing large, high-performing engineering teams.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A combination of equivalent experience and education will also be considered.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulations surrounding crypto exchanges and digital assets (AML/KYC, CFTC, SEC regulations).

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DeFi platforms and decentralized exchanges (DEX).
- Strong connections within the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.
- Knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, and market-making.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies on crypto-specific compliance.
